Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Delinquency Assistant to support the management of overdue accounts and assist with collections-related administrative processes. This role is responsible for monitoring delinquent accounts, communicating with clients regarding payment obligations, administering payment arrangements, and helping reduce outstanding balances while maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach.

The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and able to prioritize time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, excellent written communication, and the ability to manage confidential financial information with accuracy and professionalism.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain, and analyze assigned delinquent accounts
  • Implement alternate payment arrangements, including processing liens when appropriate
  • Generate collection and billing correspondence using approved templates and send communications via email
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding delinquent accounts, payment options, and the collections process
  • Set up Pre-Authorized Checking (PAC) payments for clients to reduce future delinquencies
  • Assess and apply NSF fees when PAC payments are returned due to insufficient funds
  • Maintain accurate account records and update payment information within company systems
  • Track account activity and follow established collection timelines and procedures
  • Collaborate with internal team members to resolve account issues and maintain accurate documentation
  • Spend approximately 0–25% of each shift handling phone-based communication

  • 5 MBPS or higher Internet (hardwired / not WIFI). If you don’t have 5 MBPS then you must agree to if selected.
  • Private and quiet dedicated home office area
  • Modern computer and operating system
  • Back-ups in case of power or Telco interruptions
  • Good headset and webcam (Preferably noise-canceling headset)

 

Work Schedule & Environment

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Pacific Time
  • 8 working hours plus a 30-minute break
  • Remote work environment

 

Compensation

  • $5/hour.
  • All raises and bonuses are at the discretion of the client.
