Job Description

About the Role:

The Accounting Admin Assistant supports the Accounting team by performing a variety of administrative and accounting-related functions that contribute to accurate financial records and efficient property accounting operations. This role is responsible for managing banking documentation, supporting billing processes, assisting with property transitions, and providing administrative support to Property Managers.

Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has experience with accounts receivable and account adjustments, communicates effectively with internal teams, and is committed to maintaining accuracy in all financial and administrative tasks.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and maintain banking documentation, including bank statements, CD statements, and loan statements
  • Support monthly and annual billing processes to ensure timely and accurate invoicing
  • Assist with property transition activities by preparing and organizing required accounting documentation
  • Perform accounts receivable functions and process account adjustments as needed
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation
  • Assist Property Managers with accounting-related questions and administrative requests
  • Review financial information for accuracy and resolve discrepancies when appropriate
  • Organize electronic files and accounting records in accordance with company procedures
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support daily accounting operations
  • Spend approximately 25–50% of each shift handling phone-based communication

Work Schedule & Environment

  • Monday through Friday
  • 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Central Standard Time (CST)
  • Remote work environment

 

Compensation

  • Starting at $5/hour depending on experience.
  • All raises and bonuses are at the discretion of the client.
