Job Description

About the Role:

The Client Accounting Specialist supports the Operations team by managing core accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and banking activities. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial processing, maintaining organized records, and supporting smooth financial operations across client accounts.

This position requires strong attention to detail, accounting knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and confident working in a structured, fast-paced environment while managing multiple financial processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts receivable (AR) processes including invoicing, tracking payments, and resolving discrepancies
  • Process accounts payable (AP) transactions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Support banking activities including reconciliations and transaction monitoring
  • Maintain accurate financial records across client accounts and internal systems
  • Communicate with internal teams regarding account status and financial updates
  • Assist in resolving accounting discrepancies and ensuring data accuracy
  • Utilize multiple systems to manage and track financial information
  • Support monthly and routine accounting and reporting processes
  • Collaborate with operations and accounting teams to ensure financial consistency
  • Spend approximately 25–50% of the shift handling phone communication

Qualifications & Skills

Important Skills:

  • Strong accounting background with experience in AR, AP, and banking processes
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial data handling
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Experience with accounting and property management systems (Strongroom, Workpoints+, TownSq, C3)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple financial tasks and deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

Compensation
